Norrsken Fair Isle scarf, named after the Swedish word for Northern Lights (norrsken) — a snowflake and geometric pattern in gradient purple and cream, evoking the shimmer of the aurora over snow.

This is easy/intermediate level knitting pattern; the following skills are required: Cast on, Knit, Circular Knitting, Color Knitting, Bind off. This scarf is a great design to practise your Fair Isle knitting. As it's knitted in the round, you knit pattern on the right side only.

The knitting kit includes a printed booklet with instructions in English, charts, and step-by-step photos, along with baby alpaca (see photos to choose your preferred shade). The scarf is knitted in one piece. Full pattern support is available via message or email.

The NORRSKEN scarf knitting kit Includes:
• 1530 yds | 700 g superwash wool yarn — 500 g in primary colour (lavender #74) and 200 g in secondary off white colour. If you want different shades, please check the preview or this website to choose your yarn colours, then enter their names or numbers in the 'Order special instructions' section during checkout;
• 1 printed illustrated NORRSKEN scarf pattern.

RECOMMENDED NEEDLES: Circular or double pointed needles US 4–6 / 3.5–4 mm.

ABOUT THE YARN
DROPS Karisma is a 4 strands sport yarn with great shape stability that is superwash treated, which means that it’s machine washable and perfect for everyday use. Raw material origin: from South America.
This yarn has an Oeko-Tex® certification (certificate number 25.3.0110), Standard 100, Class I. This means that is has been tested for harmful substances and is considered safe in human-ecological terms. Class I is the highest level, and it means the yarn is suitable for baby articles (ages 0-3).
