ABOUT ME

Hello, I’m Olga. I’ve been drawing for as long as I can remember. I studied fine arts, art history and graphic design and eventually found my way into the publishing world. Book design has always been something I love, and it still inspires me today. Over the years, I worked as an art director for several publishing houses, creating more than 2000 covers for books and magazines.

Since 2011 I have been working independently in watercolour, graphic and editorial design, and illustration. I have also participated in various exhibitions, projects and commissions.

Knitting and sewing have been lifelong passions of mine, rooted in my early childhood. My mother taught me to work with needles, yarn and fabric when I was six years old, and I have been honing these skills ever since. Today, knitting design has become an important part of my work. For me, it is still graphic design — just in another form, and something more.

What inspires me? I was born and spent most of my life in Saint Petersburg, but my most formative childhood and teenage years were spent in northern Estonia. The nature, the sea, the architecture, traditional crafts and the way of life there have deeply shaped me as a person and as an artist.

Scandinavian folk art and design, the soft earthy tones of northern landscapes and the cold sea continue to inspire me every day.

Currently I live in the charming city of Graz with my husband (you can see us in the photo above), my younger son Michael, who created our portrait, and our beloved Brithish Shorthair Jam The Cat.

Thank you very much for visiting my shop, I am glad you are here!
