Ratas Fair Isle Cowl is design by Olga Begak. The cowl is inspired by a traditional knitting motif from Hiiumaa, Estonia — the «tõllarattakiri», or carriage wheel pattern. «Ratas» means «wheel» in Estonian — a symbol of life’s rhythm, movement and continuity. It is knitted with itch-free Mota yarn by WoolDreamers, independent wool factory from Spain. With the aim of supporting small wool producers and native breeds, Mota was developed as a collaboration with several local ranching families. Mota is a collection made entirely in the heart of Castilla-La Mancha, and is named to honor the the town of Mota del Cuervo. Thanks to the proximity of the farms to the mill, Mota is produced with one of the smallest carbon footprints on the market! The yarn has Oeko-Tex certificate.
