Puffin Hat Knitting Pattern • Icelandic Bird Beanie (PDF)

The PUFFIN hat knitting pattern comes as a PDF with instructions in English, charts and photos which you can download immediately after the payment. It prints onto A4 or US Letter paper. You might need a software such as Adobe Reader to access it.
This is easy level knitting pattern; the following skills are required: Cast on, Knit, Purl, Circular Knitting, Color Knitting, Bind off. All measurements are given in US and metric. Hat is knitted in one piece. Full pattern support is available via message or email.

SIZES:
Adult — 55–60 cm / 21½”–23½” circumference.

YARN: Any aran weight yarn. I used Léttlopi by Ístex yarn:
#9423 Lagoon — 20 g / 44 yd,
#0051 White —20 g / 44 yd,
#1404 Glacier Blue — 10 g / 22 yd,
#1405 Bottle Green — 10 g / 22 yd,
#1707 Galaxy — 10 g / 22 yd,
#1704 Apricot — approx. 2 m / 4 yd for any size.

GAUGE: 10 cm × 10 cm / 4” × 4” = 16 sts × 20 rows in stockinette stitch.

NEEDLES: Circular or double pointed needles 3.5 & 4.5 mm / US 4 & 7.

YARN SUBSTITUTE: Malabrigo Rios (100% superwash merino wool), Malabrigo Worsted (100% Uruguayan merino wool), Mota by WoolDreamer's Yarn (100% Spanish merino and manchega wool), Icelandic Wool by Novita, Cascade 220 by Cascade Yarns (100% wool), Valley Yarns Superwash by Valley Yarn (100% wool).
