Mishka The Bear hat knitting pattern with Fair Isle colorwork features one of the most iconic and revered animals in world folklore — the bear. 
The hat knitting pattern comes as a PDF with written instructions in English, charts and photos which you can download immediately after the payment. This is easy level knitting pattern; the following skills are required: Cast on, Knit, Purl, Circular Knitting, Color Knitting, Bind off. All measurements are given in US and metric. Hat is knitted in one piece. Full pattern support is available via message or email.

SIZES: Adult (55–60 cm / 21”–24”) circumference, Kid (48–52 cm / 19”–20”).

YARN: 1415 Rough Sea (35 g / 77 yd) and 086 Light Beige (25 g / 55 yd). You may also need some stitch markers.

YARN SUBSTITUTE: Malabrigo Rios (100% superwash merino wool), Malabrigo Worsted (100% Uruguayan merino wool), Mota by WoolDreamer's Yarn (100% Spanish merino and manchega wool), Cascade 220 by Cascade Yarns (100% wool), Valley Yarns Superwash by Valley Yarn (100% wool).

GAUGE: 10 cm × 10 cm / 4” × 4” = 18 sts × 23 rows in stockinette stitch.

NEEDLES: Circular or double pointed needles 3.5 & 4.5 mm / US 4 & 7.

PLEASE NOTE: Everyone knits a little differently—some more loosely, some more tightly. Please check that your gauge matches the recommended gauge for the chosen yarn, and adjust your needle size if needed. If you prefer a slightly smaller or larger hat, try using needles half a size or one full size smaller or larger. Most yarns work well across a needle size range of about 1.5–2 mm.
