STORTORGET Fair Isle Cowl Knitting Pattern

STORTORGET Fair Isle Cowl is design by Olga Begak. The cowl is named after the main square in Gamla Stan (the Old Town) of Stockholm, known for its charming medieval houses. The cowl is double-sided, featuring two different patterns — houses and chains.
The pattern comes as a PDF with written instructions, charts and photos which you can download immediately after the payment. It prints onto A4 or US Letter paper. You will need a program such as Adobe Reader to access it (see adobe.com).
This is easy level knitting pattern; the following skills are required: Provisional Cast on, Knit, Purl, Circular Knitting, Color Knitting, Kitchener stitch. All measurements are given in US and metric. Cowl is knitted in one piece. Furthermore full pattern support is available by message or email.

SIZE: 28 cm | 11" hight, 68 cm | 27" in circumference at the top and 84 cm | 32" in circumference at the bottom.

YARN: Any sport or fingering weight yarn. I used DROPS Alpaca (two strands held together):
100 g | 366 yds in light maroon colour (5565) — MC1,
85 g | 311 yds in hazelnut (9025) — MC2,
60 g | 187 yds in sea fog (7323) — CC1,
50 g | 183 yds in olive (7233) — CC2.

GAUGE: 10 cm × 10 cm | 4" × 4" = 20 sts × 21 rows in stockinette stitch with 3.5 mm needles.

NEEDLES: Circular or double pointed needles 3 & 3.5 mm | US 2.5 & 4.
