I’ve uploaded a video on YouTube showing the process of creating a watercolor sketch of persimmons. I found these persimmons in the park, under a tree—apparently, the wind had broken a couple of branches that were already weighed down by the heavy fruit. So, I brought them home and immediately started painting.
I didn’t record the process of the first painting, but for the second one, I decided to give it a try. I’d been meaning to film something for a while, and this 45-minute session seemed perfect—not too rushed, but not painfully long either. I ended up filming in four parts, taking breaks to let the layers dry, and then pieced them together into a single video. The sound is unedited—the soft scratch of the pencil and the swish of the brush on paper are all there.
This is my first attempt at filming, using just an iPhone and a basic tripod, with minimal editing. It’s a whole new experience for me, and I’m still learning, but I hope someone finds it helpful. Enjoy!
Yours,
Olga
